Amber McGill is the Lead Culture of Care Coach with the High Desert Education Service District in Central Oregon, developing systems-level interventions and bringing research-based, sustainable practices to schools in order to shift toward more trauma-sensitive, restorative and equity-centered educational cultures. Amber has been trained by the International Institute for Restorative Practices, certified as a trainer for RP introduction, circles and conferencing. Amber holds three professional licenses in the state of Oregon: Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), School Social Worker (LSSW) and Principal. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work (BSW) from Calvin College, and a master’s degree in social work (MSW) from Portland State University. With a passion for social justice and mentoring, she is also a Field Instructor for Portland State University, supervising graduate level social work interns in K-12 schools for 15 years.
