Alexis Hennessey

Currently a Behavior Consultant with Multnomah Education Service District, Alexis has a background in both general and special education and has been a certified special education teacher since 2004. Alexis and her family relocated to Oregon in 2016 from Connecticut where she worked in alternative education, juvenile detention center, and public education settings. Alexis will sit for licensure examination in the coming year to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She was trained as a trauma informed educator in early 2009 while residing on the east coast and is excited to help further the understanding of trauma informed educational practices here in Oregon. Her goal is to share her knowledge and experiences with other educators looking to adjust their practices to provide the most trauma informed approaches and supports to their students and families. When not working, Alexis enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters as well as watching the Timbers. RCTID!
