Understanding and Responding to Student Behavior (Part 1): Student behavior and how it supports or detracts from learning can be one of the biggest challenges educators face during their careers. In this course, participants will closely examine student behavior to better respond in ways that lead to improved learning, engagement, and relationships. This includes viewing behavior through a trauma informed and culturally responsive lens, examining our own biases, and learning about universal supports for students. To be successful in this course, participants should expect to spend two to three hours per week engaged in discussions and learning activities. Participants will have the opportunity to earn PDUs or up to 1 graduate credit from WOU.
