Traumatic experiences in our lives both in the past and the present can overwhelm our capacity to cope and for adult learners, the ability to learn, succeed and thrive in post-secondary education. Community college staff and faculty are an integral support system for students navigating higher education who also must navigate the lasting impacts of adverse childhood experiences in their adult lives.

Join community college faculty and staff from around Oregon to watch a series of three documentaries that help us better understand trauma, how it impacts our bodies and brains over the span of our lives, and what we can do in higher education to support adult learners. Film clubs include watching the film on your own time and joining a 1-hour live conversation led by Mt. Hood Community College Faculty Librarian Lori Wamsley.

Register for one film or all three! Participants will receive a link to view the film on their own and then will join the scheduled live discussions. Please note: This group is for Community College members. There are specific groups for K-12 ESPs and K-12 licensed members.
