In this book study, participants will discuss The Mountains Sing by Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai. This is a fictional book: "Set against the backdrop of the Viet Nam war, The Mountains Sing tells an intimate, enveloping story of four generations of the Tran family, as seen through the eys of the matriarch, Tran Dieu Lan, and her granddaughter, Huong." Themes from this book will be relevant and thought-provoking in relation to the invasion of Ukraine.
OEA will provide copies of the print book to participants. Participants receiving a book from OEA must commit to attending at least 3 of the 4 live sessions. It is also recommended that participants access the audio book version.
