In this book study, participants will discuss readings from the book Teacher Unions and Social Justice: Organizing for the Schools and Communities Our Students Deserve. The book, "is an anthology of more than 60 articles documenting the history and the how-tos of social justice unionism. Together, they describe the growing movement to forge multiracial alliances with communities to defend and transform public education." OEA will provide copies of the book to participants. Participants receiving a book from OEA must commit to attending at least 5 of the 6 synchronous sessions.
