Instructors struggle to engage students with content while maintaining course integrity. Gamification provides an autonomous environment, decreases content intimidation, and increases fidelity. In this session, we will discuss adoption of two gamification strategies, themed communities, and role playing for both non-majors and majors. Data reflection and lessons learned will be provided as well as small group breakouts for personal application brainstorming.
