This is a course for educators interested in leading adult learning. In this seven-week course, participants will learn about online community building, facilitator presence, adult learning theory, best practices for facilitating both asynchronous learning and synchronous (live) discussions, and the basics of using OEA Learn, OEA’s learning management system, as a facilitator. Participants can earn PDUs or two graduate credits. Weekly live sessions are held and recorded. To be successful in this course, plan on participating at least two hours a week. This course is open to ALL types of educators (ESPs, K-12 teachers, community college staff and faculty, etc.) because anyone can share their expertise and skills with other educators. Cost: Members $0, free as a benefit of membership; non-members $200. Two semester graduate OR undergraduate credits are available, optional, and cost $100.
