This VLC will meet for 8 weeks. Learning objectives include the impact of stress and trauma on the brain, the foundations of trauma-informed behavior prevention and intervention, and addressing student stress. This is ideal for participants who have completed the Becoming a Trauma Aware Educator VLC, a classroom management or trauma informed micro-credential, or other foundational professional learning. Participants should be familiar with the principles of trauma and trauma informed education. Participants will also build a sense of community as educators.

This VLC is open to all members. Most participation is asynchronous and can be completed at your convenience over the 8 weeks. To be successful in this VLC, plan on participating at least two to three hours a week. There will be live sessions once a week for lecture and discussion. Live sessions will be recorded for those unable to attend. Participants can earn up to 20 PDUs or one graduate credit.
